The Executives

The affairs of the Association are managed by an Executive Council comprising:

• President
• Vice President
• Executive Secretary
• Directors of company who may be co-opted

The Association is managed by a secretariat, headed by an Executive Secretary, working closely with the President and Vice President.

The secretariat is located next to the St Paul’s Methodist Church in Tema, opposite Golden Chopsticks, and in the same building as Cadesmee International Holdings.

SUB COMMITTEES
Sub committees are always created to cater for specific issues relating to the Association.

Rob Oram is the Country Manager at Hapag Lloyd Ghana

Naa Angerley Anterkyi, Esq., is the Executive Secretary of the Ship Owners and Agents Association of Ghana (SOAAG). As a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana, she is committed to upholding the highest standards of legal professionalism.

Naa Angerley began her career as a Management Trainee with Maersk Ghana Limited, participating in the prestigious Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE) programme. Following diverse rotations across the liner business, she transitioned to DAMCO, another subsidiary of the A.P. Moller–Maersk Group, where she held senior roles across multiple operational and strategic capacities.

As a legal practitioner, Naa Angerley has consistently and passionately advanced her clients’ interests across litigation, contract disputes, regulatory compliance, and negotiation/alternative dispute resolution, delivering strategic and results-oriented representation. Driven by a longstanding passion for the maritime sector, Naa Angerley brings her legal acumen and industry insight to bear in her role as Executive Secretary of the Ship Owners and Agents Association of Ghana (SOAAG).

In addition to overseeing the Association’s administrative functions, she plays a pivotal role in offering strategic guidance to maritime stakeholders, actively shaping policy discourse, enhancing operational frameworks, and promoting regulatory coherence across the industry. Naa Angerley Anterkyi, Esq. is an active member of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Ghana Branch, and the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and gender advocacy within the maritime and dispute resolution sectors.

Adam Imoru Ayarna

About Adam Imoru Ayarna

Adam Imoru Ayarna is a seasoned maritime and logistics professional with over 20 years of leadership experience with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, including roles at Maersk Logistics (now Damco) and Safmarine in South Africa, Ghana, and Burkina Faso.

He is the Founder and Chairman of Cadesmee International, a diversified enterprise spanning logistics, manufacturing, international trade, branding, human resources, and organic farming. A certified Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, he also pioneered Ghana’s first Container Freight Station (CFS) in partnership with Maersk Logistics in 1998/1999, establishing the foundation for the inland container depot network.

Adam has been recognized with multiple honors, including induction into the Nobles Hall of Integrity, the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame, and the conferment of an honoris causa PhD in Business and Management by Maryland State University.

Beyond business, he has served since 2000 as a visiting lecturer on shipping for Ghana Customs Proficiency Certification Courses, mentoring professionals across industries. Known for his integrity, courage, and strong ethical values, Adam remains committed to promoting transparency and fostering constructive dialogue between industry players and government for a stronger maritime sector.
