SOAAG deems it crucial to build bridges with the media by sensitizing its members them on what goes on within the shipping industry. To this effect the first interaction between SOAAG and the Press Corps in Tema was organized on 14 March, 2014 under the auspices of the President of the Association, Alhaji Asoma Banda who was represented by Mr. Ignatius Afrifa, a member of SOAAG.
The special guest of honour for the occasion was the president of the Ghana Journalists Association , Mr. Affail Monney. The resource person was Mr. Adam Imoru Ayarna who gave the journalists an insight into the intricate details of shipping.
